Stuart Power Ltd has been established since 1982 and has expanded to become one of the largest privately-owned independent power generation rental businesses in the UK.

Headquartered in East Anglia, Stuart Power is a specialist provider of temporary power and lighting solutions and has enjoyed record growth in recent years.

At the core of this expansion has been the increase in the rental fleet of generators, bulk fuel storage tanks, and electrical distribution equipment. This, coupled with the company’s commitment to customer service and quality, has had major benefits across both its hire and project installation divisions.

Increasingly, the company is specialising in providing full turnkey packages which include total design and installation services for clients, where our dedicated personnel can conduct site surveys to assist with evaluating any project.

Stuart Power continues to develop by adapting to its customers’ requirements, and ensuring that its Sales, Service and Operational activities provide the most suitable cost-effective solution.

The Challenge

We were first introduced to Atlantis Tanks during the Executive Hire Show held at the Ricoh Arena. We engaged in discussions with Kieran Mytton, Sales Director at Atlantis, regarding various opportunities involving fuel and AdBlue storage.

We were looking for a local supplier with a quality product, robust in construction to withstand the rigours of the challenging marketplace.

Additionally, we wanted to work with a company that understands the “sometimes urgent demands of the hire industry”, with the ability to be flexible to our bespoke requirements.

The Solution

We have purchased several bulk fuel storage tanks from the PortaFUEL range, 1000 and 3000 litre capacities, for integration into our rental fleet portfolio. These will aid, when coupled to a diesel generator, in the capability of providing longer autonomy and extending the refilling intervals.

The tanks have most certainly helped us to deliver close to 70 generators and fuel storage tanks of HVO fuel for the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, to name but one of many.
