Our fuel tank manufacturing process guides your made-to-order project through three stages: Enquiry & Order, Design & Approval, and Manufacture & Delivery.
We begin by understanding your requirements and preparing a quotation. Generic configuration drawings can support these early discussions.
Once your order is confirmed and the agreed deposit is received, our design team develops your project-specific drawings for review and approval.
Your signed design then becomes the manufacturing specification. From production planning to final checks and delivery, our teams work together to keep the project moving through each stage.
We start by discussing your site, required capacity, fuel type, generator system, specification and timescale. This helps us recommend a suitable tank configuration and prepare a clear quotation.
Generic configuration drawings can be used at quotation stage. These are available under Technical Documents on the relevant product pages, including our GBI generator bulk tanks.
Project-specific drawings are produced after an order is placed.
When you are ready to proceed, we confirm your order and introduce it to our internal project team. An initial 10% deposit, unless otherwise agreed, secures the order and allows project processing to begin.
After order confirmation and receipt of the agreed deposit, our specialist design team produces your project-specific tank drawings.
The design brings together dimensions, connections, fittings and access requirements. Electrical components are coordinated into the package where required.
Drawings and supporting information are issued for your review. Your feedback is incorporated, with amendments handled in line with the agreed revision allowance.
Once the design is approved and signed off, it becomes the agreed manufacturing specification. This approval is an essential step before production can be scheduled.
Following design approval, a 40% production payment is requested, unless otherwise agreed. Once received, materials are ordered and your production slot is confirmed.
Our experienced manufacturing team then carries out fabrication, welding, assembly and finishing against the approved drawings and specification.
We keep you informed of expected timescales and provide an estimated delivery schedule as the project progresses.
Timely design sign-off and production payment help protect the proposed programme. Delays at either stage can affect the originally anticipated delivery date.
Your tank is manufactured and checked against the signed drawings and agreed specification, supported by Atlantis’s ISO 9001-certified quality management system.
Checks throughout production keep attention on construction, fittings, equipment and finish, as applicable to the order.
Before dispatch, the tank undergoes a final review and is prepared for delivery. The technical documentation is also brought together for handover.
This connects the final checks directly to the design you approved, keeping quality management focused on your project’s requirements.
Delivery requirements are discussed early and reviewed as your order progresses.
We work with you to consider transport, site access, offloading arrangements and site readiness. Clear information helps coordinate the tank’s arrival with the wider installation programme.
Your tank is delivered with its technical pack, including essential documentation and the Operations & Maintenance manual.
From initial enquiry through to handover, our team provides practical support and clear communication around the next stage of your order.
