Protective Finish

Double coating of Zinfos: Your 1050 litre steel bunded oil tank is painted with 2 coats of our specially formulated anti-rust coating system designed to give maximum protection – Zinfos 340 WS (150μm WFT / 75μm DFT). If you would like to purchase this paint separately, please click here. We recommend painting your steel tank once a year to achieve the maximum lifespan.

Whilst our Zinfos paint is extremely robust, it is recommended that an alternative paint is used if the tank is to be located in a marine environment, please speak to our sales team for more info.

Tank Colour: Our standard paint colour finish is Holly Bush Green – RAL 14 C 39. A small tin of “touch-up” paint is included with your new tank for applying when scratches might occur during the installation process.
If you want  a different colour, choose one by referring to the RAL colour chart (this could add the lead time of up to 1 week).

• An Extra top coat of paint can be applied before despatch (this could add an extra day onto the lead time)

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need a bunded steel oil tank?
   Yes, mostly. UK regulations require bunded tanks for environmental protection, especially near watercourses or drains. However, current regulations still permit single skin steel oil tanks in England. A bunded tank is a tank within a tank, the outer tank provides protection for the inner tank which therefore makes it harder for the inner tank to fail.  However, in the unlikely event of the inner tank failing, the outer tank will provide secondary containment.
   In this 1050 litre steel bunded oil tank, the liquid is stored in the primary or inner tank and the outer tank forms the required bund with capacity for 110% of the primary tank’s capacity which makes this tank suitable for both domestic and commercial installations. 
2. How long will this tank last?
   Your steel bunded oil tank is covered by a solid Atlantis 10-year warranty subject to regular maintenance and warranty registration. In reality, it should last 20 years or more with frequent upkeep, checking for rust spots etc.  
3. How quickly can I get this tank?
   We deliver direct to site with a 98% success rate, using our own fleet and HIAB trucks. Most orders are dispatched within 2-5 days.
